MAIACA Presents Utsav Miami 2025: A Cultural Celebration of India in Downtown Miami

Miami, Florida — The Miami Association of Indians for Art and Culture (MAIACA), in collaboration with the Miami Downtown Development Authority, the Asian American Advisory Board (AAAB), the Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners International Trade Consortium (ITC), and Miami Dade College, is proud to present UTSAV 2025, a public cultural event celebrating the vibrancy of Indian heritage through art, music, textiles, cuisine, and community engagement.

Taking place on Friday, July 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Atrium of Miami Dade College’s Wolfson Campus, Utsav Miami 2025 offers South Florida residents an opportunity to experience the richness of India in an immersive setting. The word “Utsav” means “celebration” in Hindi, and this annual event embodies that spirit by bringing together people of all backgrounds to share in cultural exchange and connection.

The opening ceremony will feature a special appearance by the Honorable Mayor Daniella Levine Cava, who will lead the ceremonial lamp lighting to mark the start of the evening’s celebration at 5:30pm.

Program Highlights Include:

• Authentic Indian street food (available for purchase)

• Live Bollywood music by DJ Browny from New York City

• Showcase of Indian textile traditions and craftsmanship

• Family-friendly activities including rangoli art and body painting

• A live drum performance by Guru Garjana Drum Academy (6:30 PM to 7:00 PM)

• A curated local vendor market featuring South Asian fashion, jewelry, and body art

MAIACA’s mission is to foster appreciation for Indian arts and heritage through community programming, exhibitions, and cultural dialogue. Utsav Miami 2025 reflects this commitment by providing an inclusive space for celebration and education.

Tickets: $15, available for advance purchase only via Eventbrite. No refunds.

Ticket includes access to all performances, vendor exhibits, and the children's area. Food, drinks, and body art are not included in the ticket price but will be available for purchase.
