Music, Masti, Masala was a family friendly night of dancing, food, drinks and fun. The community celebration incorporated traditions from both Navratri and Diwali. It was the first time these two holidays will be celebrated together in an event in Miami. MAIACA, Miami Association of Indian Americans for Culture and the Arts, will host.

The concert was brought to you by MAIACA, with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami Dade County Mayor, and the Board of County Commissioners.

Dr. Devinder Singh is Chief and Program Director, Division of Plastic Surgery, University of Miami. Rekha Ramani is an aesthetician, cosmetologist and business owner. The event was one of a kind opportunity to meet and hear experts and ask them questions.

MAIACA has imbibed the true essence of Diwali in it's signature Diwali event for the community to gather and celebrate festival of lights with much joy and gratitude as we overcome the challenges faced by all during the global pandemic.
We are humbled by the response from the community as we celebrated Diwali together on October 29th 2021.

The Full Moon Yoga event was MAIACA’s first in person event since the pandemic restrictions were eased. MAIACA took great care to ensure the safety and well being of our attendees. From Board Member Niraj Mehta’s humble and on point introduction of Maiaca and it’s developments , to the teaching of yogic postures and mantras - it’s meaningful impact to the mind body and soul by Sri Sudarshan , the guru accompanied by instrumental music on the viola from Vishnu.All these and the sheer beauty of the Miami skyline in the full moon, the event was truly spectacular.

Sur Aur Taal - Melody and Rhythm- held at the beautiful Sandrell Rivers Theater in Miami Beach on September 18, 2021, was MAIACA’s first in person concert since the pandemic. Full Covid 19 safety protocols were in place to allow our guests to safely enjoy this mesmerizing concert! MAIACA’s Magical Diwali

As we watched from the safety of our homes, MAIACA took us on a virtual Diwali journey. We began with Ganesh Vandana, followed by a special cooking demonstration of Miami-inspired Indian fusion food. We then welcomed the divine presence into our decorated homes and served scrumptious sweets and savories. We also learned how to package these delicacies as gifts to close family and friends. We ended with a guided DIY Rangoli to adorn our homes and bring joy to the family.

Aadhar at Miami Film Festival

In collaboration with the Miami Film Festival, MAIACA sponsored Aadhaar, a 2019 Hindi-language dramedy by the national award-winning director Suman Ghosh. Produced by Manish Mundra under his banner Drishyam Films, the film stars Vineet Kumar Singh, who is the first one in his village to get his Aadhaar card.

COLORS-A Solo Painting Exhibition by Indranil Ghosh

In a collaboration with Miami Dade College, MAIACA celebrated Asian-American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Indranil Ghosh, MAIACA board member and featured artist, participated in the opening reception. Students, cultural and art aficionados, and members of the Indian community were presented with Ganesh puja mahurat, an Indian dancing display, an exhibition of a featured artist, an interactive Bollywood dance performance, and refreshments.
