MAIACA’s Magical Diwali

Virtual Concert on Zoom and Facebook Live

As we watched from the safety of our homes, MAIACA took us on a virtual Diwali journey. We began with Ganesh Vandana, followed by a special cooking demonstration of Miami inspired Indian fusion food. We then welcomed the divine presence into our decorated homes and served scrumptious sweets and savories. We also learnt how to package these delicacies as gifts to close family and friends. We ended with a guided DIY Rangoli to adorn our homes and bring joy to the family.


Aadhar - Hindi Movie at Miami Film Festival

Miami Association of Indian Americans For Culture and Arts (MAIACA) in collaboration with the Miami Film Festival sponsored Aadhaar, a 2019 Hindi-language dramedy by the National Award-winning Director Suman Ghosh. Produced by Manish Mundra under his banner Drishyam Films, the film stars Vineet Kumar Singh, who is the first one in his village to get his Aadhaar card.

COLORS-A Solo Painting Exhibition by Indranil Ghosh

A collaboration with Miami Dade College Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Indranil Ghosh, MAIACA Board Member and Featured Artist, Opening Reception. Attendees included MD students, cultural and art aficionados and members of the Indian community. Attendees were presented with Ganesh puja mahurat, display of Indian dancing, art exhibition of featured artist, interactive Bollywood dance performance and refreshments.

MAIACA was honored to bring you the extremely talented and well known, Ghazal Maestro TALAT AZIZ, on September 6, 2020, at 7.30 pm EST.

Talat sang to us live from Mumbai, India. Opening for him was Stephan Mikes, Miami New Times Best Solo Performer, and Sitarist.  The concert was brought to you by MAIACA, with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami Dade County Mayor and the Board of County Commissioners.


Kathak & Flamenco Event

An incredible performance uniting Kathak & Flamenco dancing featuring Sudeshna Maullick and Ely Cardenal followed by dinner and drinks. This unique production is MAIACA's first cross-cultural event celebrating both the India and Spanish art forms in a single captivating dance performance.
